Helping Northern Californians When Help Is Needed Most

We are a one-of-a-kind disaster resource center that assists clients impacted by a man-made or natural disaster long term, up to 3 years with resources, referrals and advocacy. Our goal is to take our clients through their recovery process at their own pace with the idea that they will recover, as a survivor.

Donate to UDRNC

You can help victims of disasters today by making a donation towards their immediate needs or helping to secure our new building. You choose where your donations go and all donations are tax deductible. All our staff are volunteers, so you can be confident 100% of your donation will go to families in need. Become the hero someone needs by donating today.

Join our community of volunteers

Our volunteers serve Northern California in its most critical moments. Volunteers can choose a schedule during our operating hours that work best for them. We work with our volunteers to help choose a task that fits their skills. The impact you will make will be obvious the first day you volunteer.

  • Services

Our team of volunteers are ready to assist clients and the community. We are the only disaster resource center that offers long term services, up to 3 years. The services we provide include referrals, resources, grant assistance, FEMA & Red Cross assistance, free material goods, office space, massage chair room, laundry services, and one-on-one connection to a real person that will advocate for your full recovery. We also deliver pallets to new donation centers that open in the wake of a new disaster.

  • Sponsors

Whether you choose to sponsor a family, our new building or one of our events you will be the hero to our clients. Throughout the year new disasters strike, we are ready to assist communities in need with gift bags, sleeping bags and at times gift cards all thanks to our generous donors. We also host events giving our clients an opportunity to meet and help build each other up. Once a year during the holidays we host an adopt-a-fire-survivor family event. Sponsors will help purchase clients wish list, which at times is the only presents our clients receive. UDRNC is also organizing efforts to raise funds to secure our new 7,200 sq.ft building.

  • Resources

We work with multiple local and national organizations and businesses to find all resources available to our clients. We make sure our clients know the deadlines of each grant application available to them. We want our clients to save their money for rebuilding, relocating, renting and ultimately recovering. We stay connected to our partners to keep updated on new resources. We offer free disaster relief items, fresh and canned food, clothing, shoes, hygiene products, appliances and furniture. We also offer a laundry facility and an office with free internet and paper supplies.

“They saved our lives. We had come to them with nothing after losing our home. They helped us find resources and meet others that had gone through what we had.”

— Dorothy, Fire Survivor
