Helping Northern Californians When Help Is Needed Most

We are a one-of-a-kind disaster resource center that assists clients impacted by a man-made or natural disaster long term, up to 3 years with resources, referrals and advocacy. Our goal is to take our clients through their recovery process at their own pace with the idea that they will recover, as a survivor.

Donate to UDRNC

You can help victims of disasters today by making a donation towards their immediate needs or helping to secure our new building. You choose where your donations go and all donations are tax deductible. All our staff are volunteers, so you can be confident 100% of your donation will go to families in need. Become the hero someone needs by donating today.

Join our community of volunteers

Our volunteers serve Northern California in its most critical moments. Volunteers can choose a schedule during our operating hours that work best for them. We work with our volunteers to help choose a task that fits their skills. The impact you will make will be obvious the first day you volunteer.

  • Services

At UDRNC, our dedicated team of over 100 volunteers stands ready to assist both individual clients and entire communities affected by disaster.

We are proud to be the only disaster resource center in the region offering long-term support—up to three years after a disaster occurs. Our comprehensive services are designed to meet both immediate and ongoing needs, and include:

    Referrals and resource navigation

    Grant application assistance

FEMA, Tzu Chi, Insurance & Red Cross support

    Free material goods

Private office space for client use

Massage chair room for relaxation and stress relief (currently under construction)

On-site laundry services (currently under construction)

    Shower (currently under construction)

One-on-one, personalized support with an advocate dedicated to your full recovery

Additionally, UDRNC plays a crucial role in broader disaster response efforts by delivering pallets of supplies to newly established donation centers in communities impacted by emerging disasters.

Our goal is to ensure every survivor feels seen, supported, and empowered throughout their recovery journey.

  • Sponsors

Whether you choose to sponsor a family, support our new building, or contribute to one of our events, you become a hero to the disaster survivors we serve.

Throughout the year, when new disasters strike, UDRNC is ready to respond—thanks to the generosity of sponsors like you. Your support allows us to provide essentials such as gift bags, sleeping bags, and sometimes gift cards to individuals and families in crisis.

We also host community events that offer our clients a chance to connect, share experiences, and support one another. One of our most impactful efforts is our annual Adopt-a-Fire-Survivor Family program during the holidays. Sponsors help fulfill wish lists for families who, in many cases, would otherwise go without gifts.

In addition, UDRNC is actively working to raise funds for the construction of a new storeroom within our recently acquired 13,000 sq. ft. facility on two acres in the City of Ukiah. This storeroom will help us expand our capacity to store and distribute vital supplies year-round.

By becoming a sponsor, you help bring hope, healing, and tangible support to those who need it most.

  • Resources

    Resources

UDRNC is committed to connecting disaster survivors with every available resource to support their recovery journey. We actively collaborate with local and national organizations, businesses, and agencies to ensure our clients have access to up-to-date support and services.

Our team helps clients track important deadlines for grant applications, ensuring they don’t miss out on critical financial assistance. Our mission is to help survivors save their money for rebuilding, relocating, renting, and ultimately recovering.

We offer a wide range of free essential items and services, including:

    Disaster relief supplies

    Fresh and canned food

    Clothing and shoes

    Hygiene products

    Appliances and furniture

On-site laundry facilities Resources (currently under construction)

Office space with free internet and paper supplies

By staying closely connected with our partners, UDRNC ensures that clients always have access to the latest resources and recovery opportunities available in their area.

“They saved our lives. We had come to them with nothing after losing our home. They helped us find resources and meet others that had gone through what we had.”

— Dorothy, Fire Survivor
